Welcome to our world!

June 21-22, 28-29 and July 5-6, 2008

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth IReturn to the lusty, joy filled times when Shakespeare trod the boards; privateers sailed the seven seas in search of treasure and adventure; Elizabeth I defied the Spanish King Phillip, and kept her own lords at bay. Brave knights jousted for their Queen’s favour, and high adventure was the order of the day.

Become a part of our village faire and find out how life was lived in an age of heroes!

Set in the middle of a magical oak forest, one might almost believe that the sighting of the majestic white stag of legend could be just out of sight in our rustic village. For today we are privileged to host the Progress of Her Most Glorious Majesty, Elizabeth I who comes to visit the village of Hartgrove where she maintains her favorite personal deer park. Make merry with our jovial villagers as they vie for the Queen’s favour with song, dance, and plays to delight and amuse the court. Visit our good merchants in the village market as they lay out goods from far and near. Feast at one of the village inns or public houses. Watch the knights of the realm as they joust in honour of their ladies. A host of varied amusements will fill your day with delight! For more information take a tour of our web site.
